Holiday Inn Express Charlotte West - Gastonia, an IHG Hotel

Majority was good stay with remodeling going on.

The staff was so amazing. They truly made us feel more like we were staying with family then in a hotel with strangers. our first night we arrived around 12:30 am there were some minor issues with the room that we were in but we were too tired to realize until the next morning. once we informed the front desk they moved us into a room that was right across the hall so we wouldn’t be inconvenienced and it went smooth. I have a 7 year old diabetic and every night she would want cocoa because it was cold and rainy and every night it didn’t matter who was at the front desk they would find and give her hot cocoa which made her night. Every staff member we saw would say hello ask how we were doing, do you need anything, etc…, and always wished us a great day or evening. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel was super clean and quiet, other than my 7 year old when heading to or from our room. The breakfast was very yummy with a decent amount of options. Coffee in the lobby was always fresh no matter what time day or night that I had an urge to grab a cup. I have now found my place to stay whenever I’m in the area. I can’t thank them enough for being so kind, caring, and helpful. Thank you for an amazing stay.

My great grand daughters, ages 3 and 5 were with us and would have literally lived in the pool, Every minute was "lets go swimming." The staff was super nice about getting us towels and unlocking the door for us. they were great. The breakfast area was fantastic . Great food, kind staff, and very accomadating. Yes if in the area we would stay again,. parking was easy and close. And my oldest great grand daughter was the buttonpusher on the elevator rides, They loved it and so did we...

Reasonably priced. Not pet friendly BUT rather pet welcoming! Delicious breakfast. Absolutely wonderful staff.

Good location for Gastonia area attractions. The room was very clean and reasonably priced.
